After it became clear that there would be a BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 1v1 event, fans became even more interested in one of the first big Dota 2 tournaments of the year. After taking a look at the Closed Qualifiers, all of them are now over, which means we know the names of all teams. There are a lot of important elements to talk about, so let’s dive in.
BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 – Overview & Talent

This will be one of the first big Dota 2 events of 2024, and it will take place in Dubai. The offlane tournament will have a $1M prize pool, and it will include 12 teams. We’ll be able to watch the tournament between February 4-16 and it will be broadcasted in English and Russian.
Considering the importance of this Dota 2 tournament, BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 will include a lot of popular talents. We know that the event will include the following names:

- Doionik “Lacoste” Stipic
- Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann
- Shannon “SUNSfan” Scotten
- Benjamin “Bkop” Kopilow
The Russian panel will also have loads of big names, such as Aresnii “ArsZeeqq” Usov, Rustam “Adekvat” Mavliutov, and more.
Format & Prize Pool
BetBoom Dacha 2024 in Dubai will give us access to twelve of the world’s best Dota 2 teams (more about them in a bit). Seven of them were invited directly to the tournament, whereas the other five battled in the Regional Qualifiers.
Now that all teams are set, they will play in a Group Stage format that will run across 4 days. During that time, we’ll have two single round-robin groups of six teams, and all matches will consist of two games. Once the clashes are over, the top 4 teams from each group will advance to the Upper Bracket of the playoffs. The other ones will be eliminated from the event.
Regarding the playoffs, there will be a double-elimination bracket. Similar to all popular Dota 2 events, every series except the Grand Final is in Bo3 format. The Grand Final will feature a Bo5 clash.
We’ve already mentioned that the prize pool will be a total of $1,000,000. The reward will be divided between the teams as follows:
- 1st place takes $400,000
- 2nd place gets $200,000
- 3rd place wins $100,000
- 4th place will get $60,000
- 5th-6th place will result in $45,000
- 7th-8th place gets $35,000
- 9th-10th spot will get $20,000
- 11th-12th place will get $20,000
BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 Teams
When it comes down to the teams that will take place in the upcoming tournament, we will see every single big name in Dota 2. In fact, we already know the groups, so let’s go through each one.
Group A
The first Group at the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 has the following names:
- Aurora
- LGD Gaming
- Team Falcons
- Team Liquid
- Gaimin Gladiators
- Virtus.Pro
If we have to analyze the potential results based on each squad’s performance, we can clearly see that Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid, and Team Falcons are among the big favorites.
Considering that only two teams won’t be able to advance to the tournament’s next stage, we think that this “honor” will go Virtus.Pro and Aurora. The latter has a pretty good roster, but the team hasn’t been in a big international tournament so far. As for VP, the team is just not on the level of the other big names in the group.
Group B
BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024’s second group will have the following name:
- Azure Ray
- BetBoom Team
- Nouns
- Team Spirit
- OG
- Xtreme Gaming
A lot of you will say that Group B of BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 is more interesting than the first one, and we will agree. Pretty much all teams here have equal chances of winning and losing. Team Spirit and Azure Ray are probably slightly above the rest, but the battle between the rest will be fierce.
OG and Xtreme Gaming are two names that everyone is looking forward to seeing in action. This will be the first big tournament for the Western European team in a while, whereas Xtreme Gaming will get the chance to show off its new roster with Ame.
Schedule
The BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 action will kick off on February 4, and the Group Stage will last until February 8. Each day of the Group Stage will allow us to watch an epic clash between some of the best Dota 2 teams.
