The upcoming point-and-click narrative-driven adventure game, Best Month Ever, follows the story of a terminally ill mother attempting to raise her child with only a month to live, but life won’t make it easy for her.Developed in partnership with Klabater and Warsaw Film School, Best Month Ever tells the story of a boy’s childhood and how his experiences shaped the way he is today and the memories he has of his mother. The child, Mitch, now grown-up and living in the 70s, has flashbacks of his last month with his terminally ill mother in the 60s. The gameplay takes place between the past and the present, allowing players to see the outcome of their decisions. The past is where players make every decision for Mitch’s mother, Louise, on her journey to find her son a new home before she passes. Every choice you make will be seen by Mitch, and there looks to be a near-endless number of ways each situation could go wrong. Best Month Ever is set amidst the backdrop of social inequality and political tension during the 60s in the United States, and players will engage with all kinds of people, from hippies to Klansman as they attempt to raise the child. There is no win or lose, just the ramifications of your actions when the game flips back to the present and we see a grown-up Mitch. No release date has been set for Best Month Ever just yet, but we do know that it’ll be releasing for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Will you be checking out this interesting title because we sure will. Let us know!
