EA’s latest blog for Battlefield 2042 covers the game’s usage of Easy Anti-Cheat, easier reporting tools, and the community guidelines that all players are expected to follow. The Positive Play Community Guidelines laid out for Battlefield 2042 in a recent blog post cover treating others with respect, playing fairly and reporting those that aren’t, sharing appropriate content, and not participating or encouraging illegal activities. It’s well worth hopping through for a quick read so you know what is and isn’t acceptable when the beta opens later this week, and the full game drops in November.“To keep our community a fair place, we have a no-tolerance rule in place,” the statement reads. “There are no warnings and no suspensions when it comes to cheating. If you don’t play by the rules, you’re out.” That’s EA’s stance on cheating in Battlefield 2042, which is refreshing to hear considering the game will be cross-platform at launch. Other titles have been plagued with players getting the leg up on the competition by using nefarious means — which EA plans to circumvent by implementing the same Easy Anti-Cheat software as is used in Apex Legends and Star Wars: Squadrons. If a player is sanctioned for cheating in either the Battlefield 2042 beta or full launch, the ban will be in effect across all platforms. EA states that it has the ability to apply hardware and IP bans to players, with a no-tolerance rule in effect.Battlefield 2042’s reporting process has been streamlined, to make reporting the above players a little easier. The biggest feature is the ability to now report naughty people from the in-game Player and Squad List or Social Menu. Find the player and select their name from the list, hit the Report button and choose one of the reasons for your report, and then press the Send Report button.
