EA has announced that the Battlefield 2042 open beta will be available to all players between October 8th and October 10th, with early access players being able to join two days earlier on October 6th.The news that we’ve all been waiting for regarding this year’s entry from Dice: the Battlefield 2042 open beta. Players on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles will be able to join the test, which will feature the huge 128-player Conquest battles (64-players on Xbox One) on the new Orbital map — which was previously shown off in the Battlefield 2042 reveal trailer. Set in Kourou, French Guiana, the Orbital map has players battle it out around a rocket installation, using zip lines and vehicles to gain the upper hand. Of course, the new dynamic map conditions will also be in effect, so expect to see a tornado or rocket launch happening while you’re attempting to not eat a bullet.We’ll also be able to play around with four of the game’s Specialists: Boris, Casper, Falck, and Mackay, who offer varying combat styles from long-ranged gunplay to medical aid. For more information regarding everything the open beta has to offer, EA has created developer blogs on the game’s official website.The Battlefield 2042 open beta will be available to preload on October 5th, with early access being granted to EA Play members and players that have preordered starting on October 6th at 12am PDT/3am EDT/8am BST/9am CEST.
