Players collecting the Baldur’s Gate 3 achievements will be able to experience 13 brand-new cinematics for evil endings next month, as Baldur’s Gate 3’s Patch 7 rolls out on Xbox Series X|S in October. The update will bring a host of improvements to the Xbox RPG, and despite now working on other games, Larian still has plans for more updates in the future.Patch 7 rolls out for Baldur’s Gate 3 players on Xbox next monthWhen Patch 7 does arrive on Xbox Series X|S next month — a release date hasn’t been confirmed — it will bring new evil endings, improvements for split-screen, new legendary actions in Honor Mode, mod support, and more. The Patch has just arrived on PC, but due to submission reasons, we’ll need to wait a little longer on console. If you play on both Xbox and PC, be aware that cross-saves won’t be available until Patch 7 hits console next month if you’ve already updated the game on PC. As for cross-play and cross-platform mod support, Larian’s head of publishing Michael Douse says that the team is working on an update. “Console & Mac patch is releasing in October due to submission,” Douse said on X. “We are still working towards cross-platform multiplayer which will include cross-platform mod support. It’s as complicated as it sounds.”Patch 7 is a biggie, so it’s worth checking out the PC patch notes included with Larian’s announcement. This isn’t the end of the developer’s support for Baldur’s Gate 3 either, as Larian says, “We’ve still got a few more patches up our sleeve for Baldur’s Gate 3 — which will include both cross-play and photo mode, alongside other fixes and updates.”Earlier this year, Larian announced that it’s stepping away from the D&D universe — even if we did almost get Baldur’s Gate 4 — and instead has two other “ambitious RPGs” in development.
