The BAFTA Game Awards 2022 nominations have been revealed ahead of the show on April 7th, which celebrates the video game releases of 2021 — It Takes Two and Returnal are the most nominated titles with eight nominations each.BAFTA has revealed its game award nominees in 16 categories, with the final two categories — Performer in a Leading Role and Performer in a Supporting Role — to be announced shortly. The awards aim to celebrate the creative excellence of UK and international development teams within the games industry. Public voting is only available for the EE Game of the Year category, and you can vote for your favourite title on the EE website now. The other categories will be voted on by BAFTA’s global membership, which is comprised of industry professionals from game development and production.You can watch the show on the BAFTA Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook channels on April 7th. Times are yet to be confirmed, but there will be an afterparty show exclusively available on Twitch for those interested.There are 39 games with nominations, and unsurprisingly, It Takes Two is leading with eight total nominations alongside Returnal. They’re followed by Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with six nominations, and Forza Horizon 5 and Psychonauts 2 with five nominations each.
