Backflip Master is a game about – wait for it – mastering the backflip. With simple controls you leap and twist and tuck, using your parkour skills to get over obstacles, collect coins and try to get the the end of the level. Backflipping is an art though, and therein lies the challenge.
And that’s why we decided to write this guide. We’ve played a decent chunk of Backflip Master and uncovered a series of strategies that we think are going to take your airborne loops to another level. And now we’re sharing them with you.
It doesn’t matter if you’re poised to make your first flip or you’ve already landed a hundred – there’s going to be something here to help you out. These are the best hints, tips and cheats for Backflip Master. So let’s do this.
Angle your flip
You need to use the angle of your flip to make it over and past certain obstacles. The longer you hold down your finger, the more angled the direction of your flip is going to be. This can be really handy when you’re trying to get over gaps.
Time your tuck
Your tuck is just as important as your jump. Pull it in too early and you won’t nail your flip, release it too soon and you’re not going to hit your next jump. Learn the perfect time to press and release and you’ll soon be passing your way through the levels with ease.
Chain together
Chaining together flips will increase your score and give you a cool trail. It can be tricky on some levels, especially if there are a lot of obstacles, but where there’s some space you should always be aiming to land multiple flips in a row.
Get the stars
On some levels there are stars that you need to collect to move on. They’re often in slightly awkward places that are going to force you to rethink your usual rhythm. On these levels don’t worry too much about style, just do what you need to do to get the star.
Tricks or skins?
You can spend the coins you earn on tricks and skins. While the skins are essentially aesthetic, the tricks will change the shape you make in your tuck. This can be a help and a hindrance, so unlock them and see what they do. Swap your tricks if they’re causing you trouble.
