Back 4 Blood: Children of the Worm is the game’s second expansion, bringing with it a new storyline, a gun-wielding preacher of the end times, and a ton of other goodies. Here’s everything we know, including its release date.Turtle Rock Studios and Warner Bros. Games have announced Children of the Worm, Back 4 Blood’s second expansion. It comes packed with a brand-new story campaign, a new Cleaner in the form of “Prophet” Dan, a “gun-toting, self-proclaimed preacher of the end times,” new enemies, and a butt-load more. The DLC will be available to purchase on August 30th, or as part of the Annual Pass, Deluxe, or Ultimate Editions of the game.Back 4 Blood gets new Cleaner, story campaign, and more with Children of the WormIf you’ve been looking for an excuse to return to Fort Hope in Back 4 Blood, then you might want to prepare for what’s to come on August 30th. Children of the Worm will introduce another Cleaner to the game’s roster of playable characters in the form of Dan, AKA Prophet. Don’t worry, though, as your favourite Cleaners will also be given a facelift with the addition of eight new Cleaner skins and 12 weapon skins, accessories, and cards. It looks like two new weapons, the Lockjaw and Bear Trap (awesome) will be added alongside the cosmetic items as well. Not much has been said about the new story campaign, but we do know it’ll feature a “fierce new enemy threat,” which judging by the image above, will be some naughty human enemies that are more than likely part of a cult — why wouldn’t you think it was a good idea to worship the grotesque monstrosities during the apocalypse? Much like the game’s first expansion, Tunnels of Terror, we’d say it’s safe to assume that we’ll be getting another batch of Back 4 Blood achievements, so you might want to have your crew ready to go if you want to nab the first completion spot. Will you be returning to Fort Hope at the end of the month?
