A lot of Xbox Game Pass subscribers have been digging through the sand dunes to uncover the Atlas Fallen achievements after arriving in the subscription service last week. Since joining Game Pass, the Atlas Fallen Xbox player count has skyrocketed, making the Xbox action-RPG one of the most-played Xbox games last week. Atlas Fallen Xbox player count spikes by 6,500% following Xbox Game Pass dropWith a sample size of over 2.4 million Xbox accounts, our latest Xbox Gameplay Chart data (via GameInsights) reveals just how powerful Game Pass can be. Last week, Atlas Fallen saw a monumental 6,552% rise in Xbox players following its addition to the service. Looking through the data, Atlas Fallen was languishing in the 664th position in our chart of the most popular Xbox games the week before it landed in Game Pass. Once in the service, so many Xbox players decided to check out the action-RPG that Atlas Fallen nabbed 11th place on this week’s Xbox Gameplay Chart, which is by no means an easy feat. This is the highest Atlas Fallen has charted — even a week after launch, it only just managed to crack our top 200.Atlas Fallen launched in August last year to mixed reviews, so it’s interesting to see Xbox players flock to the monster-slaying co-op game. Of course, Xbox Game Pass provides such a low barrier to entry that even if someone is mildly curious about what the game offers, they can quickly fire it up and give it a whirl. Perhaps another catalyst for Atlas Fallen’s Xbox player spike is the massive Reign of Sand update, which completely overhauled the game, adding a new area to explore, new enemies, a New Game Plus mode, a reworked introduction and voice acting, and loads more. Developer Deck13 Interactive did well in releasing the update a few weeks before hitting Game Pass, drumming up loads of media coverage to get everyone talking about Atlas Fallen once more. Since its addition to Xbox Game Pass, the excellent Mafia: Definitive Edition has managed to stick around in 7th place on the chart for two weeks in a row, and while that is impressive, it’s not that unexpected. With next week’s Xbox Gameplay Chart, we’ll see if Atlas Fallen has similar staying power. For more games joining Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass soon, check out our list of upcoming Game Pass games.
