The Houston Astros are making some drastic changes to avoid being eliminated by the Atlanta Braves in the 2021 World Series.
Alex Bregman and the Houston Astros are struggling lately. The Atlanta Braves have been able to routinely shut Houston down at the plate and, well, Bregman has been struggling more than most. As a result, Houston is trying to shake things up in Game 5 of the 2021 World Series.
That includes moving Bregman down in the batting order.
It’s hard to fault Houston for moving Bregman down in the lineup. This team is facing elimination and needs to start getting hits sooner rather than later if it hopes to have a remote shot at winning this year’s World Series.
Bregman hasn’t been great at the plate lately. While he had a .270 batting average in the regular season, Bregman has struggled to get a .226 batting average this postseason. So far in the World Series, he has just one hit in 14 at bats.
That’s not good at all.
Houston Astros lineup: Alex Bregman gets moved down
Houston trails the Braves by a margin of three games to one. That is far from ideal for the Astros and Houstonians.
While there will be chances for Bregman and the Astros to get everything turned around, they’ll have to start improving immediately. Houston can’t afford to lose another game if it wants to win the World Series.
So, guys who have been struggling, like Bregman has, really need to get it together quickly. Otherwise this series is all wrapped up and over.
