Astralis and Esportal first signed a partnership in June 2021, resulting in the organisation hosting a series of tournaments on the platform. According to Astralis, the community reacted positively to the tournaments and the partnership was renewed to double down on these efforts.
Kasper Sindt, Commercial Director for Astralis, noted: “Esportal is the leading matchmaking platform in the Nordics, giving gamers an option to compete and connect in a positive, fun, and competitive environment. We have built a tournament and matchmaking format combining Esportal’s expertise and the Astralis brand and value, and we’re thrilled with the way it has been received and used by thousands of Counter-Strike players daily.”

During the partnership’s first nine months, Astralis Counter-Strike players and talent played on servers hosted by Esportal with players from the Nordic countries. Astralis now plans to also host a number of monthly and quarterly tournaments at Astralis Nexus, the organisation’s new headquarters in Copenhagen. The organisation also announced viewing parties, meet and greets and other relevant activations.
Astralis noted in a release that the cooperation includes an ‘ad commercial and promotional leg’.
Esports Insider says: The partnership between Astralis and Esportal must’ve been a very positive one considering the renewal came very soon. Players in Northern Europe will now have even more chances to play against Astralis players and earn rewards and the partnership will also bring new content and activations for both parties.
