Sneaking through the shadows of London for the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate achievements can now be enjoyed with silky smooth framerates of 60fps and up to 4K graphics, as a free Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Xbox Series X|S update has rolled out to all players. It’s a somewhat random update for the nine-year-old Xbox action-adventure game, but a welcome one. As announced by Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate can be played at 4K/60fps on Xbox Series X|S and 1080p/60fps on Xbox Series S after downloading the game’s free 31.8GB update. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they navigate London’s criminal underbelly during the Industrial Revolution in 1868. With the city under Templar control, the Assassin Brotherhood all but destroyed, the Fryes set out to take back the city. Syndicate was the last title Ubisoft released in the classic Assassin’s Creed format, as the series then had a soft reboot with Assassin’s Creed Origins a couple of years later. As for the next game in the series, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it could be the first game in the franchise to feature co-op, according to reports. It was expected to release last month, but Ubisoft delayed it into February, which will reportedly lead to changes to controversial protagonist Yasuke.In other Assassin’s Creed news, fan-favorite Assassin’s Creed Black Flag will reportedly get a remake in 2025.
