We should be able to start unlocking Assassin’s Creed Codename Red achievements later this year, and according to a new report, Assassin’s Creed Red will have increased gore levels, along with decapitations, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Settlement system will undergo a “major evolution.” Check out our list of the best RPGs on Xbox for an expansive game to get lost in while you wait for Red to launch on Xbox.Red will take us to feudal Japan with its legendary Shinobi warriors. We’re yet to find out who will be this year’s protagonist, but reports suggest there will be two: one based on a real African samurai named Yasuke, and Naoe Fujibayashi, the daughter of a real Iga jōnin (Shinobi) called Fujibayashi Nagato.Assassin’s Creed Red will feature more blood and decapitationsAs reported by Insider Gaming, Assassin’s Creed Red will include ‘Hideouts,’ a “major evolution” of Valhalla’s Settlements. Within your Hideout, you’ll be able to build various interactable areas like a dojo, armory, alter, and more, as well as customize it with various layouts and exterior designs, display your armor and weapons, and even choose where it’ll be located.Outside of your Hideout, Ubisoft is reportedly upgrading combat to include new gore features like decapitations and more blood, which is due to its “Anvil Pipeline” game engine upgrades. Anvil Pipeline allows multiple Assassin’s Creed studios to work as a unified whole instead of as independent studios to make it easier for the teams to implement technological features like ray-tracing and virtual geometry — we apparently expect to see new dynamic weather systems, upgraded parkour movements, and new animations. While the combat itself will be more visceral, the report suggests that stealth in Assassin’s Creed Red will also play an important role, as you’ll have the ability to go prone whenever you like, extinguish torches, and hide in bushes and tall grass. We don’t have a release date for Assassin’s Creed Red yet, but it will potentially launch alongside Assassin’s Creed Infinity — a new hub and launcher for the series with possible live service elements. Are you looking forward to Assassin’s Creed Red?
