At the same time as we’re able to begin unlocking Assassin’s Creed Codename Red achievements, Ubisoft will be rolling out Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which will act as a hub for some of the series’ best open-world games on Xbox. Via a new report, some of Assassin’s Creed Infinity’s live service elements have been revealed.Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Infinity in 2021, revealing that the ‘game’ will not only be a hub for many upcoming Assassin’s Creed games but also a collaborative project between many of the company’s studios. “Rather than continuing to pass the baton from game to game,” Ubisoft Quebec managing director Nathalie Bouchard and Ubisoft Montreal managing director Christophe Derennes said. “We profoundly believe this is an opportunity for one of Ubisoft’s most beloved franchises to evolve in a more integrated and collaborative manner that’s less centered on studios and more focused on talent and leadership, no matter where they are within Ubisoft.”Assassin’s Creed Infinity live service hub detailsAccording to a new report from Insider Gaming, which has reportedly seen footage of a user jumping between Infinity and Assassin’s Creed Red in “just a few seconds,” Assassin’s Creed Infinity will offer what sounds like an interactive shopping mall complete with its own “modern-day story.”Within the live service hub, Infinity will reportedly offer an item shop called The Exchange, which will offer daily and weekly cosmetic items for the games linked to the hub beginning with Assassin’s Creed Red. Alongside that, a Synchronization feature is said to offer mini battle passes called projects for each protagonist with an attached narrative. Projects will be added regularly and accompany DLC drops and new game releases. Last year, Ubisoft said that it was ramping up development on Infinity and aimed to bolster its Assassin’s Creed workforce by 40% in the coming years as it continues to work on multiple new Assassin’s Creed titles.
