While the recent Assassin’s Creed Shadows delay pushed our trip to feudal Japan back a few months, there’s still plenty to get excited about with Ubisoft’s flagship series. Jade will take the Assassin’s Creed series to mobile, while codename Hexe promises a very different style of adventure from the norm. But, if waiting for all these isn’t enough for you, two AC games just got important updates. Both Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Unity finally have Steam achievements – giving you the perfect reason for a revisit.
With the Assassin’s Creed Shadows release date moving back into 2025, Steam achievements for some of the older RPGs present a nice opportunity to keep yourself busy. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Steam achievements arrived a few months ago, and now Black Flag and Unity have joined the pack.
According to the SteamDB backend, both Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Unity got achievements on Valve’s platform on Tuesday, December 11. The Steam store’s front end also shows that Black Flag has 60 achievements, and Unity has 57.
With the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake all but confirmed at this point, watching those achievements pop up in the original is the best way to bide our time until a full reveal. Perhaps we could learn more at The Game Awards on Thursday December 12, but I wouldn’t hold out hope.
If you’re worried about whether or not future AC Steam launches will come with achievements, evidence says they will. When Assassin’s Creed Mirage came to Steam earlier this year it launched with achievements, and Ubisoft’s recent Assassin’s Creed Shadows delay arrived with hopeful news, too. Shadows will launch on Steam on day one, and I can only assume that Steam achievements will be a part of the overall package.
If these achievements aren’t enough for you, we’ve also brought together all the best stealth games and best open-world games to keep you entertained.
