The dynamic duo of Ash and Pikachu are finally playable in video game form. In a new update to Pokémon Masters mobile game, you’ll be able to take control of the most famous partners in the entire franchise.

How to play as Ash and Pikachu in Pokémon Masters

Introduced in a new update, the Pokémon anime’s main character Ash Ketchum has been made playable for the first time in the franchise’s decades-long history. Partnered with his beloved Pikachu, this is a long awaited addition to the mobile game.

Ash and Pikachu are the latest addition to the mobile game. As an electric-sync pair, obviously, the two are able to use B Thunderbolt and Best Buds 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt moves to win battles.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to gacha-pull the pair forever. As it turns out, the two are only included in the game’s wishing pulls until 16, 2022 at 11 p.m. PT. We wish you luck!

While the introduction of Ash and Pikachu is amazing, it’s not the only addition to the game. In fact, there are a healthy number of new sync pairs joining them in Pokémon Masters.

What else is coming?

If you’re deep into the Pokémon fanbase, you’ll love these all-new sync pairs added to Masters. The mobile game will now benefit new versions of existing characters, spicing the game up even more.

Starting today, Sinnoh’s Champion Cynthia will join the game, paired with her Lucario, donning a Sygna suit. Additionally, Sygna Suit Red & Pikachu will join the game on August 31st.

Red and Pikachu also have a new trick up their sleeves. The Kanto trainer is somehow able to use Dyanamaxing, a feature from the region of Galar. What has he encountered in his travels?

What is the Trainer’s Lodge?

Furthermore, Pokémon Masters now has a new mechanic: the Trainer’s Lodge. This simple new mechanic allows you to form friendships with trainers. Additionally, it’s a new way of earning sweet new rewards.

This, of course, means new login rewards. Logging in everyday between today and September 13th will grant you a bonus of 3,000 gems. Additionally, simply logging in before October 13th will give you another 3,000.

Pokémon Masters is available as a free-to-play game for Android… and the other one. Pick it up right here
