AOC’s competitive gaming-focused brand AGON by AOC has launched its new gaming monitor, the AGON PRO AG276QZD2.
The 26.5” (67.3 cm) monitor is part of the AGON PRO series, a product line that is marketed towards the esports community and players. This product is an updated model of the AGON PRO AG276QZD.
According to a release, the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 is equipped with a QD-OLED panel and G-Sync technology. The latter technology looks to eliminate screen tearing and reduce stuttering. The monitor’s other specifications include a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms GtG (Gray-to-gray) response time.
AGON has described the monitor’s design as ‘esports-ready’ with features such as a quick-release mechanism that eases setup, a handle and a Kensington Security Lock so players can bring the monitor to various LAN events and tournaments. The monitor is also fitted with two DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 slots. A rubber cable management clip is also added.
The main selling point of the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 is its QD-OLED technology. The competitive gaming brand has outlined a variety of benefits that the monitor provides, including enhanced colour accuracy, increased brightness and energy efficiency.
The QD-OLED panels also will help maintain colour accuracy and brightness from various viewing angles.
The AGON PRO AG276QZD2 is available for $599.99 (~£465).
AGON’s latest PRO series product joins a range of other monitors in its catalogue. Previously AGON has secured esports-focused partnerships with Brazilian esports organisation FURIA and this year’s Red Bull Kumite event.
James Melendez, General Manager at TPV USA Corp (AOC’s parent company), commented: “At AGON by AOC, we are committed to delivering leading-edge technology that elevates the gaming experience. The AG276QZD2’s combination of stunning visuals, rapid response times, and sleek design truly sets a new standard in the gaming monitor industry.”
