At Anzu Robotics, our mission is to deliver the most desirable drone technology that meets the highest standards of security and performance. As a US-based manufacturer, we understand the importance of data protection and user trust; especially under the unique circumstances which we currently license our technology. This is why we partnered with Aloft, our strategic software ally, to develop the Air Control flight application for our Anzu Raptor drones. Today, we are excited to announce that our drones will begin shipping this week after receiving validation of our third-party penetration test conducted by White Knight Labs.

A Partnership Built on Trust and Security

Our collaboration with Aloft has been instrumental in ensuring that every aspect of the Anzu Raptor is designed with security in mind. Over the past twelve months, Aloft has meticulously developed the Air Control platform that comes natively installed on the RC with Anzu Robotics Raptor-series drones, which safeguards user data and ensures secure flight operations. To bolster and reinforce our claims of the security and destination of data related to use of Raptor-series drones; we engaged White Knight Labs, a renowned third-party cybersecurity firm, to conduct a comprehensive penetration test. Their validation is a testament to our successful efforts to secure data from our drones.

As described in Aloft’s penetration test announcement, White Knight Labs’ assessment involved both static and dynamic analysis methodologies. Static analysis reviewed the source code, configuration files, and system architecture without executing the code, while dynamic analysis observed the system in real-time, scrutinizing data traffic and drone behavior. This thorough examination confirmed that all data transmitted from the Anzu Raptor is securely routed exclusively to Aloft’s AWS servers, eliminating any risk of unauthorized access or data leakage.

Ensuring Data Integrity and Security

One of the primary concerns in drone technology is the security and destination of data transmission. White Knight Labs meticulously analyzed the data flow from the Anzu Raptor and confirmed that all data was exclusively being sent to Aloft servers. This verification ensures that no sensitive information was observed being leaked or intercepted by unauthorized parties. This assessment involved the entire user journey from initial registration through flight logs and media.

Addressing Recent Criticisms and Misconceptions

It is furthermore important for us to reiterate the independence of Anzu Robotics from any foreign investment, control, or data sharing with any other drone manufacturer. It is essential to clarify that Anzu Robotics is not a shell company, but a legitimate startup in its early stages with a clear vision, a mature and sought-after product, and operational success. Since our official launch, we have established partnerships, transacted hundreds of orders through our reseller network, and garnered substantial interest from various industries, including public safety, utilities, and drone service providers across the US and Canada.

The notion that Anzu Robotics is merely a rebranded extension of DJI is not only misleading but undermines the genuine efforts and achievements of our company. While Anzu licenses technologies from DJI, we are an entirely independent entity with a distinct operational model. Our collaboration with Aloft ensures that all user data is processed through their encrypted AWS servers, located in Virginia, thereby eliminating any potential security risks associated with foreign access.

Continuous Improvement and Future Plans

At Anzu Robotics, we believe in the power of transparency and the importance of third-party validation in building trust with our customers. Engaging reputable cybersecurity experts like White Knight Labs provides an additional layer of assurance, validating our commitment to data security. Our continuous efforts to improve our security measures, coupled with Aloft’s annual SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications, as well as FAA audits, reflect our dedication to maintaining the highest standards.

The successful penetration test is not the end of our journey but a significant milestone in an ongoing process. As we continue to develop and expand our product offerings, we remain committed to conducting regular analyses and updates to ensure that our platform remains secure, encrypted, and exclusively based in the United States.

We are looking forward to the upcoming months where we will expand our team, launch our first SDK partnership, and subsequently create an app ecosystem around our platforms, receive feedback from our earliest adopters, and start planning our roadmap for the future.
