We are looking for a number of UAV Aircraft Technicians across various levels, including a lead for this new function. In this role you will play a critical role in defining our Uncrewed Air Systems maintenance team’s, processes and manuals. This is a fantastic opportunity for aircraft technicians from a military or civilian background to apply their skills and experience in shaping an entirely new section within our business. The role will have a great mix of hands-on maintenance and management of the related activities, processes and equipment.
We expect to maintain our vehicles at our Cowley and Kidlington sites and the role will also involve travel to our test and demonstration sites within the UK and abroad.
To that end applicants should be keen to travel as part of the role!
Senior UAV Aircraft Technician
Responsibilities… what will you do?
Managing continuing airworthiness and hands on maintenance of our development fleet of air vehiclesManagement and supervision of the UAV Aircraft Technician teamDevelopment of manuals and processes related to air vehicle maintenanceRecording and managing the maintenance of the air vehicles on our cloud-based maintenance trackerManagement of maintenance facilities at our new workshop
Essential skills and experience… what are we looking for?
You will have the following skills and experience:
Licensed aircraft engineer with supervisory authorisations or equivalent military experienceExperience of writing or managing maintenance manuals and processesAbility to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineersHighly self-motivated with minimal supervision needed to complete assignmentsGood communication skills with a proactive approach to work and workload management
Desirable skills and experience:
Experience in problem solving faults on new systems or aircraftTechnical Authorship of maintenance manuals to S1000D standardsQuality Assurance/CAMO of maintenance activities

Hands on fault finding and maintenance of our development fleet of air vehiclesContributing towards the content and quality of maintenance manualsRecording the maintenance of the air vehicles on our cloud-based maintenance trackerPro-actively reporting new faults to design engineers so that new procedures can be produced

You will have the following skills and experience:
Licensed aircraft engineer or equivalent military experienced aircraft engineer with hand on experience maintaining aircraft or UAVsAbility to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team of engineersHighly self-motivated with minimal supervision needed to complete assignmentsGood communication skills with a proactive approach to work and workload management
Desirable skills and experience:
Experience in problem solving faults on new systems or aircraftQuality Assurance/CAMO of maintenance activitiesReporting faults or issues with maintenance procedures
