The unfinished Jaguar CD title American Hero is getting a full restoration for consoles and PC, Empty Clip Studios and Ziggurat interactive have announced. In addition to the digital version, Limited Run Games all also distribute a physical version of the full-motion video game.American Hero sees players taking on the role of an ex-American intelligence officer named Jack, played by Timothy Bottoms, who has recorded fresh voiceovers to compete the game’s script. Bottoms’ character is on a mission to stop virologist Krueger from unleashing a virus into the water supply throughout Los Angeles, and players will face spur-of-the-moment decision that will have direct consequences on Jack’s progressDescribed as a ‘playable movie,’ American Hero was penned in the 1990s as a satire of action flicks from the 80s, and will feature the likes of Daniel Roebuck and Musetta Vander alongside Bottoms.Matt Shores, CEO of Empty Clip Studios, commented:With American Hero, we sought to balance conservation of the project’s original vision with editorial restoration wherever game assets were incomplete.
