Alynix is searching for candidates to fill the role of Uncrewed Aerial Specialist within our team. We are in need of someone who has exceptional communication and leadership skills who is responsible and able to work full time. A Specialist/Pilot is responsible for operating an Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) and making sure it stays on course and landing it safely. Your main duties will include maintaining drones, planning flight paths, assembling maps, and gathering data, and digital images. If you have the skills to work well under pressure, are organized, have excellent mechanical skills, are tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and have great problem-solving skills, then you would be a perfect addition to our company!
Responsibilities
Use technical skills to work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering complex studies & deliverables for our clients in sometimes hazardous environments.Follow internal policy and procedures in conducting uncrewed operations.Conduct all flight planning and pre-flight activities required to analyze, understand, and execute flight missions in accordance with the prescribed task and purpose of the mission.Participate in Preflight, Job Site Analysis, Filing COAs, Part 107 waivers and NOTAMs, Post Flight & Documentation.Perform pre-flight inspection prior to scheduled mission, including but not limited to checking existing and forecasted weather conditions for the flight, checking weight and balance for any included payloads, and determining aircraft performance based on anticipated aircraft and environmental conditions to ensure the necessary margin of safety.Execute aerial missions while acting as Supplemental Pilot or Pilot-In-Command of aircraft.Inspect, clean, and prepare aircraft at the conclusion of each flight.Develop Flight Reports and gather other data from robotic platforms for customer reports.Develop Orthorectified images and process lidar in specialized software such as Pix4D, TopoDot, Terrasolid, Metashape, and Global Mapper.Perform routine maintenance on uncrewed systemsMaintain aircraft logbook and maintenance records.Develop and verify procedures for use with new aircraft features.Conduct demonstrations and participate in operational and experimental ground and flight tests of assigned UAV(s).Represent the organization with commercial customers.Document items necessary for billing of services.Maintain physical security of all aircraft, computers, ground control stations, and organizational property required to conduct flight operations.Overnight travel associated with position may be up to 70%.
Qualification Requirements
BS degree or equivalent experience in UAS or related field.Basic knowledge of remotely sensed & geospatial data.Basic knowledge of photogrammetry, lidar, and multi spectral imaging.Can provide excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate within all levels of this organization.Candidates must be adept at working on fast-paced projects and feel empowered to make data collection management and analysis judgements.You must be dependable and informed of the industry.Holds and maintains a current Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot certificate.Other FAR Part 91 Certifications are a plusAbility to work cooperatively with others.Ability to lift upto 50 lbs and work for extended periods of time in the field.Ability to travel upto 70%.Drivers license with clean MVRApply here
