This way, you will be able to have input on what the background of each of them is before fully exploring their story in the adventure that awaits you throughout the game.
Persona 3 Reload Characters: Who Are They?
There are 10 main characters present in Persona 3 Reload, including the protagonist, who will be played by you. Each of these characters has different characteristics, personalities, and stories, so you won’t find anyone who is similar to anyone else. But let’s proceed now to give you some more specific information on each of the Persona 3 Reload characters.
Protagonist
The main character is a second-year student who moved to Gekkoukan High School in the spring and came back to the island where he lived as a kid. One day, he encounters a scary monster that makes him discover the power of Persona. After that, a group called the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S) asks him to join them. His first Persona is named Orpheus, but he’s unique because he can switch between different Personas during battles, which gives the player a lot of options for fighting strategies.
Yukari Takeba
She’s a second-year student at Gekkoukan High School and is friends with the main character. People like her because she’s friendly and good-looking, but behind that, she’s actually quite strong-willed and distant. She becomes a member of S.E.E.S, a group that uses Personas, after a scary encounter with a Shadow makes her rethink her lack of battle experience. Now, she fights alongside the main character. In battles, she uses her archery skills to shoot arrows with her bow. Her special Persona, Io, is good at wind and has healing abilities.
Junpei Yori
He’s another friend of the main character, sitting close to Yukari in class. He discovers his Persona powers not long after the main character arrives at the school, and he decides to live in the Iwatodai Dorm with the rest of S.E.E.S. He’s a bit of a jokester, always making funny comments to cheer everyone up, although Yukari doesn’t always find it amusing. When it comes to fighting, he uses a big, two-handed sword and has a special Persona named Hermes. He’s good at using physical attacks and fire abilities.
Akihiko Sanada
He’s a senior at Gekkoukan High School and one of the original members of S.E.E.S. Besides being the captain of the boxing team, he’s also really good at school, which makes him quite popular. People like him because he’s effortlessly cool and calm, but sometimes he can be a bit stubborn and not very experienced. He gets hurt while fighting a Shadow, and it takes him some time to recover. Despite the setback, he’s determined to get back into action and soon returns to the front lines. In battles, he uses his boxing skills to punch and fight. His special Persona, Polydeuces, is great at physical and electrical moves.
Mitsuru Kirijo
She’s the daughter of a big international company, the Kirijo Group. She’s in her last year at Gekkoukan High School and is also the leader of the student council and S.E.E.S., the group fighting Shadows. She’s organized and serious, making sure everything runs smoothly. People see her as a top student because she’s good at both school and other activities, but because she grew up in a wealthy family, she might not always understand common things. She’s also in charge of the fencing team and fights with one-handed swords. Her special Persona, Penthesilea, is good at using ice and healing powers.
Fuuka Yamagishi
She’s a quiet and calm student in her second year at Gekkoukan High School. Some not-so-nice students use her quiet nature to bully her. Because of the bullying, she ends up in a dangerous situation during the Dark Hour and needs the main character and his friends to rescue her. This scary experience makes her discover the power of Persona, and she decides to join S.E.E.S. She’s really good at collecting and analyzing information, helping the team in the background. Her special Persona is named Lucia.
Koromaru
This dog discovers the power of Persona after a sad event. His first owner, the priest from the nearby Naganaki Shrine, passed away. The main character and friends decide to take him in and make him a full member of S.E.E.S. He’s smart, loyal, and friendly, and everyone in the group loves him. He’s especially close to Aigis, who can understand his bark, and Ken Amada, the elementary school student. When it comes to fighting, he uses a knife in his mouth. His special Persona is Cerberus, and it’s good at dark skills.
Aigis
She’s a humanlike android, the 7th Generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, who becomes part of S.E.E.S. Even though she’s not human, she has a heart that gives her the power of Persona. From the first time she meets the main character, she feels a strong connection to him. At first, she seems cold and robotic, but as she spends time with the group, she starts to understand more about human feelings. In battles, she uses a bunch of weapons built into her mechanical body. Her special Persona is Palladion, and it’s good at physical moves and supporting the team.
Shinjiro Aragaki
He’s a senior at Gekkoukan High, but he’s hardly ever at school. He helped start S.E.E.S with Mitsuru and Akihiko, but then he kept away for about two years. Something happens that makes him decide to come back and join the group again. Even though he might seem unfriendly at first, underneath that tough exterior, he’s actually kind and good at cooking. He even likes animals and takes care of Koromaru when nobody’s watching. In battles, he uses strong weapons like axes to hit hard. His special Persona is Castor, and it’s great at powerful physical attacks.
Ken Amada
He’s the youngest in S.E.E.S, just in the 5th grade at Gekkoukan Elementary. Because his mom passed away in an accident, he moves to live at the Iwatodai Dorm. After discovering his Persona powers, he decides to join S.E.E.S all on his own. Even though he tries to act grown-up, he’s really just a kid who loves superhero TV shows. When it’s time to fight, he uses a long spear even though he’s short. His special Persona is Nemesis, and it’s good at using light skills.
