Who are all the Dragon’s Dogma 2 enemies? It’s important to know your opponent before you start getting into fights, that way you always have the upper hand. You and your party will face plenty of threats when adventuring through Vermund and Battahl, not least the hordes of DD2 enemies and monsters waiting to stop you.
Ahead of the DD2 release date, there are a few enemies we already know about, so you can start planning your defense now. All the Dragon’s Dogma 2 monsters we know about in the action RPG game before launch are listed below, ranging from terrifying dragons, dark knights, and misleadingly adorable goblins.
All DD2 enemies
All the Dragon’s Dogma 2 enemies and monsters that we know of so far are:
- Chimera
- Chopper
- Cyclops
- Drake
- Dullahan
- Goblin
- Golem
- Griffin
- Harpy
- Hobgoblin
- Knocker
- Lizardman
- Minotaur
- Ogre
- Rattler
- Skeleton
- Slime
- Talos
- Sphinx
- Undead
- Wight
- Wolf
Chimera
The Chimera isn’t the usual amalgamation of creatures you’d expect, featuring two heads — the lion and the goat — while its tail technically has a third head, that of the snake. As you’d expect, this dangerous monster has a range of attacks that utilize its powerful bite, tremendous claws, and venom attacks.
Chopper
The Chopper looks similar to a goblin and appears only in the darkness gifted by the trees of the deepest forests. This fast enemy camouflages itself with its surroundings before attacking from the shadows, so you might not even see them coming.
Drake
A true beast. The Drake is a Dragon, capable of shooting powerful flames from its mouth, and it can manipulate magic as another form of attack. According to the official Dragon’s Dogma 2 website, players need to prepare for “all-out war” if they meet this powerful being on the battlefield.
Dullahan
The Dullahan is probably jealous of the Chimera and its three heads. While the Dullahan does have a head, it’s detached from his neck and is held in his hand. Regardless, this dark knight is still incredibly dangerous. Surrounded by deep purple flame, a scythe in his other hand, the Dullahan can kill with one swift movement and can transform into a shadow to disappear into the night.
Harpy
Some might find them creepy, but we think they’re beautiful. The Harpy is a bird with the upper body of a woman and has a hypnotic cry that can leave you and your party woozy and defenseless.
Knocker
This taller species of goblin comes armed with long weapons and is particularly agile, allowing them to scale and leap from high places, ambushing victims. If a group of them catch you off-guard and have the higher ground, you could be in trouble.
Rattler
A beast that resembles a frog and a lizard combined, the Rattler can be easily mistaken for a rock, thanks to the spiky and protective rock-like surface on its back. However, it has a major weakness, it’s underbelly, so make one fall onto its heavy back and you have the upper hand.
Sphinx
Like the Griffin and Harpy, the beautiful Sphinx combines a woman, a lion, and a large, colorful bird. The Sphinx is one of the few DD2 enemies that isn’t a fighter, she gives you riddles that can only be solved through action and combat with other creatures.
Talos
Talos is a large bronze giant, so naturally has very few, if any, weaknesses. We recommend staying out of this titan’s way as it tramples the Earth, shattering anything beneath its feet.
Wight
One of the most magical enemies in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the skeletal Wight is a creature bathed in darkness, and its magical might is so untouchable that you should consider entering battle with it.
They’re all the Dragon’s Dogma 2 enemies so far, and we’ll add more to this list as they are revealed. To prepare yourself for combat, make sure you know which of the DD2 vocations you’re going to select, and get to know the Dragon’s Dogma 2 system requirements the most terrifying enemy of them all.
