Meanwhile, newcomer and FBI agent, Saga Anderson, is called to the idyllic town of Bright Falls to investigate a string of ritualistic murders. This forms the game’s two campaigns as players control Alan and Saga through their own separate adventures, with the series’ familiar burn-away-the-darkness mechanic returning during battles with foes.Unlike the original Alan Wake, the sequel is a full-blown survival horror game and will also clock in at around 20 hours, making it by far Remedy’s longest ever game. Alan Wake 2 launches for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on October 27, 2023.
