Battlefield 2042‘s design director has revealed that the game’s AI bots will prove difficult to tell apart from human players, which is good to know considering the feature can’t be switched off.Speaking with VG247, Justin Wiebte noted that the team at Ripple Effect Studios and DICE Sweden are putting a lot of effort into making the AI behave realistically, so that players will have a hard time telling if they’re just bots or real players. We’ve tried to put a lot of effort into making them play just like a player would. So it would be really hard for people to tell the difference between an AI and a real human player because they will run around, they will drive vehicles, they will pick each other up, they will drop [each other] off at objective locations and things like that – it’s a very intelligent system. And then you can tweak and tune some of the things they are and aren’t allowed to do, including how difficult they are to play against.Related Content – Sony PS5 Complete Guide – A Total Resource On PlayStation 5Previously, Ripple Effect Studios revealed that Battlefield 2042 is always online, something which does not change even if you’re playing against the aforementioned AI bots.Battlefield 2042 is scheduled for release on October 22, 2021 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.[Source – VG247]
