The Return of Rome DLC is heading to Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition next month, reintroducing the original Age of Empires game to a new generation with three additional campaigns, a new civilisation, and more.The Return of Rome expansion, which originally launched in 1998 as The Rise of Rome, and now it’s returning for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. It introduces all 16 civilisations from the original Age of Empires game, as well as one brand-new empire: the Lac Vet, in recognition of the expansion’s popularity in Vietnam. On top of that, the Romans will also be available in the base version of Age of Empires: Definitive Edition.The DLC introduces three campaigns to experience as you lead the Sumerians, Macedonians, and Romans to victory. Outside of the campaigns, the new D3 Game Mode arrives as a homage to a fan-favourite rule set.
