Century: Age of Ashes is now available for players on Xbox Series X|S consoles, and is a cross-platform, free-to-play multiplayer game that focuses on ferocious dragons in aerial combat. Playwing has announced that after a successful run on PC, which saw over a million players play the game since its launch in December 2021, Century: Age of Ashes is now available on Xbox Series X|S. It’s a free-to-play offering that features cross-platform multiplayer combat in the skies above castles and mountains on the backs of dragons, and we’ve got the Century: Age of Ashes achievements here for you. After mentioning that it has dragons, we’re sure most of you are now busy downloading the game instead of reading the rest of this story — but we’re going to continue anyway and pretend you’re still here. Century: Age of Ashes was designed for consoles from the off, so expect controller-centric support and not a PC port pretending to be a console game. If you’re jumping in to see what this scaly beast is all about and happen to be an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, keep an eye out on March 14th for the Hjørrani Savannah Bundle as a Perk. The bundle comes with a couple of nice bonuses for new dragon riders in the form of 500 Gems, a 14-Day XP Booster, and an Epic Hjørrani Savannah Dragon. “It’s a great joy for us to see Century: Age of Ashes spread its wings for the very first time on next-generation consoles,” says head of product marketing, Laurent Denis. “Players will roar with excitement as they experience the rush of dragon-riding with the full power of Xbox Series X|S, and battle it out against existing players all around the world.” Throughout 2022, Playwing plans to bring the game to Xbox One X and S consoles with cross-platform functionality and to support the game with a host of post-launch Seasonal content. The team’s focus this year is to add a fourth rider and dragon class, a new game mode, a pile of cosmetics, and to kick off special calendar events.Be aware that it currently looks as if the Executioner achievement for killing 200 enemies is bugged, and we’ve flagged it as unobtainable. Will you be mounting one of these mighty monsters for an adrenaline-fuelled flight?
