Brazil star striker Richarlison put on a show in the Olympics against Germany, recording a hat trick in the first 45 minutes of action.

The 2020 Olympics in Tokyo could not have gotten off to a better start for the Brazilian national team. Despite the bad memories of the Copa America Final loss against Argentina still fresh in their minds, it appears the South Americans took out their anger on the poor Germans.

Indeed, Brazil recorded a 4-2 win on Thursday, with Richarlison stealing the show. The Everton striker is making things happen before the English Premier League season starts next month. Against Germany, he recorded a hat trick, doing so in the first half alone.

Richarlison scored three goals for Brazil in the 4-2 win over Germany

As you can see in the videos above, Richarlison showcased why he’s such a threat to score whenever he’s on the pitch. What’s really nuts about this performance is that he was able to score those three goals so quickly, recording his third in the 30th minute.

Germany sure did make things interesting, though, cutting its deficit to 3-2 in the second half. However, a red card in the 63rd minute for Maximilian Arnold sure did complicate things. Brazilian star Paulinho put the nail in the coffin in stoppage time, though, firing a rocket into the back of the net to close the scoring at 4-2.

For Germany, the country is coming off a disappointing showing at the Euros. Any hopes of starting the Olympics off with a bang were wiped away by the Brazilians. Brazil is considered among the favorites to take home the Gold medal this summer in the tournament and rightfully so. They’re going to be a tough team to beat, especially with Richarlison playing so well.
