The GoldenEye 007 remaster rumour train is back in action, with the Xbox achievements for the classic N64 FPS having now been spotted on the Xbox site alongside stat tracking across six different categories.Ever since we scanned in the GoldenEye 007 achievements back in January, we’ve been waiting patiently for any kind of official announcement. With plenty of perfect opportunities coming up next week (including the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase), is this new behind-the-scenes activity the devs gearing up to announce (or even shadow-drop) the game soon, or is the timing purely coincidental? Will GoldenEye 007 be at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase? As spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, the achievement list is now viewable on xbox.com, with global achievement data seeming to indicate that at least 31 accounts have now played the game, with the rarest global unlock at 3.23% and no achievements on the list whose percentages are not a direct multiple of this value. That’s quite a few players for a game that doesn’t officially exist, and one we can now see has stat-tracking too for six categories — Multiplayer Games Played, Bullets Shot, Cheats Unlocked, Attempts at Facility on 00 Agent, Multiplayer Kills, and Minutes Played. This latest activity follows a trademark renewal for GoldenEye back in March, which was joined by several insiders hinting that a previously planned announcement had been postponed due to the game’s Soviet themes.Do you think we’ll finally see this remastered favourite get announced next week? Let us know!
