Rumors and leaks about ZTE’s Axon 30 keep pilling on ahead of the phone’s announcement date scheduled for July 27. Today we have a pair of short hands-on videos of the Axon 30 showing off its design and the second-gen in-display camera.

The first video shows the phone’s front and back design and gives plenty of attention to the hidden selfie camera. There’s a quick comparison to the outgoing Axon 20 and we can clearly see the progress in terms of display sharpness especially in the area above of the camera which is rumored to sport a 16MP sensor. The area remains indistinguishable from the rest of the panel even in close-ups which is quite impressive. A while back ZTE teased Axon 30 will sport 400ppi above the camera area which is double of its predecessor.

The clip also shows out a few selfie samples which don’t impress with their quality and sharpness. We can also see proof that the phone will sport a 2460×1080-pixel resolution, Snapdragon 870 chipset and 256GB of storage.

The second video showcases the Axon 30’s camera capabilities. We can spot four shooters on the back with the main one coming in at 64MP. Details coming in from the main shooter look quite sharp and having the whole screen as an uninterrupted viewfinder is certainly appealing. The post also shows a few selfie samples which again look a bit fogged up and are in general not that impressive.

In related news, tipster Digital Chat Station shared a few product photos and specs for the Axon 30. The phone is said to weigh in at 189 grams and will be just 7.8mm thick. We can see the back design brings a big departure from the look on the Axon 20 with sharp lines and a rectangular camera cutout with two circular openings housing the four camera sensors.

One of the shots also shows the About phone section which shows the phone running MyOS 11 on top of Android 11 alongside 12GB RAM.
