Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the formation of a China Software Business Department as its latest console, PS5, has gotten off to a solid start in the region.The new department will be helmed by Sean Kelley, who was previously leading PlayStation’s China operations. The news comes as Sony revealed how crucial the Chinese market is to its console business, with PS5 now the sixth market for the console after 72 weeks.Furthermore, new date reveals that Sony’s latest console has sold 2.7x as much as the PS4 during the same period in its lifecycle.
