The latest reports out of England suggest that Manchester United could end up selling Paul Pogba to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
In what’s been an incredibly busy summer transfer window thus far for Paris Saint-Germain, it looks like the Ligue 1 giants aren’t done yet. Matter of fact, they’re keen on making a move that would rock the soccer world.
According to Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, PSG has high interest in buying world-class midfielder Paul Pogba from Manchester United. Pogba, fresh off a sensational showing at the Euros, has one year left on his contract with Manchester United. Because of this, the English Premier League side could end up letting him go.
PSG is hoping to bring in Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer
While there’s no denying Pogba is one of the best players in the world, the fact that he’s getting ready to enter the final year of his deal with the Premier League powerhouse could lead to his exit. Manchester United would hate to see Pogba leave for free at this point next summer, knowing they could net around $80-$90 million for him now.
PSG understands this, why is why they’re trying to get things over the line in the coming weeks. Per Wheeler, the French squad is in close contact with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola to hammer out the player’s wages. Once that’s agreed, it would then be on PSG to put an offer on the table that Manchester United would want to accept.
While things are still early in the negotiations, we could have some big news coming our way soon. With Sergio Ramos, Gianluca Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi and others already joining PSG this offseason, adding Pogba to the list would make the team serious threats to win the Champions League next spring.
