Pac-Man Museum+ input lag is a bitter pill to swallow

Pac-Man Museum+ launched into Xbox Game Pass last week, but fans don’t seem best pleased with Bandai Namco’s latest compilation, which introduces input lag so severe that some of the classics are nigh unplayable. The latency in Pac-Man Museum+ feels like it varies quite largely from game to game, but it’s especially obvious (and inexcusable) when the games get faster, which you’ll quickly notice in the likes of Super Pac-Man and Championship Edition, or with the significant delay between button press and jump in Pac-Mania. I noticed the input lag myself over the weekend, so I wasn’t overly surprised to see other players also reporting issues.Other problems have also been raised, including failure to even boot for some Xbox players (making the game only playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming, which introduces even more latency), the terrible CRT filter, a string of notable absences on the game list, and grindy in-game economy. The Pac-Man Museum+ achievements weren’t even activated properly at launch, leading to the same ‘achievements not supported’ screen we see in pre-release games despite the achievements unlocking normally, and this was only fixed this morning, three days after release. Now, guess we wait for an update to fix the rest of the issues.Having problems of your own with Pac-Man Museum+? Let us know!
