Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been formally revealed as part of day two of the weekend-long Star Wars Celebration event. The sequel to the much-loved Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Survivor was confirmed to be in development in January of this year (albeit without confirmation of a title) and sees the return of protagonist Cal Kestis five years after the original, as he and his trusted droid BD-1 continue to be hunted by the Empire who are hell bent on eradiating the last of the Jedi.Check out the reveal trailer below:The game is set to launch in 2023 and will be exclusive to current generation consoles, which is good news considering Fallen Order’s initial difficulties in terms of loading times and technical issues. A PS5 version of Fallen Order was subsequently released June of 2021.The game’s title was initially revealed last month via murmurings heard from Gamesbeat’s Jeff Grubb, it was also added that the game would be skipping last-gen consoles and would be aiming for a 2023 release – all of which has turned out to be accurate.
