According to developer Raven Software, two separate ban waves saw over 50,000 cheaters banned from Call of Duty: Warzone last week.A brief update on Warzone’s cheating problem was posted on Twitter, with Raven Software stating that this latest round of bans targeted mainly players who had previously been caught cheating. Activision and Raven Software have now dished out well over half a million permabans since the free-to-play battle royale game launched in March 2020. Back in February, Activision explained that it has a “zero tolerance for cheaters across Call of Duty and Call of Duty: Warzone” and it would “continue to dedicate resources 24/7 to identify and combat cheats, including aimbots, wallhacks, trainers, stat hacks, texture hacks, leaderboard hacks, injectors, hex editors and any third party software that is used to manipulate game data or memory.”A further update revealed that Activision was issuing hardware bans against repeat offenders.Warzone has always struggled with hackers, and while this latest round of permabans is a step in the right direction, a lot of the Warzone community remain unhappy.
