We now have a release date for Ubisoft’s free-to-play roller-sports game Roller Champions, which zooms onto Xbox One next week.Ubisoft confirmed that Roller Champions will be available for Xbox One (and Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility) on May 25th, with cross-play and cross-progression available at launch. When does Roller Champions launch? There’s less than a week to go before Roller Champions launches for Xbox One on May 25th. “In each match, you and two teammates will face off against another team of three in an elliptical arena,” Ubisoft says. “The goal is straightforward — reach five points before your opponents do — and the basics are easy to grasp. Keep control of the ball by skating and passing, steal it from your opponents with a well-timed tackle, and make a full lap of the arena to open up the goal and take your shot.”There’s a skatepark hub to practice in, and you can make things a little more complicated with team manoeuvres or else by making several laps to increase your points when you score a goal. There’s a free Roller Pass with rewards like helmets, outfits, emotes, poses, and more, and there will also be a Roller Pass available to purchase with “exclusive gear.”Roller Champions launches on May 25th for Xbox One — we’ve got the Roller Champions achievements so you can check out what you’ll be up against.
