We’ve seen plenty of machines and automatons so far, but a new story trailer for Spiders’ action-RPG Steelrising also features a few of the human characters caught up in the violence of the Revolution.In Steelrising, we play as Marie-Antoinette’s robot bodyguard, and the latest trailer for the game details a little more of the story, with the queen telling us that “the king must be stopped.”Steelrising story trailerSteelrising is set in Paris in the year 1789. King Louis XVI controls a ruthless army of machines, and the streets are in turmoil, with human victims everywhere. Our character Aegis is a heavily-armed automaton made by the engineer Vaucanson, and the queen’s orders are for Aegis to stop the massacres of the king’s army by finding Aegis’ creator. Steelrising was initially set to launch in June, but was delayed to September. The game will now launch for Xbox Series X|S on September 8th.
