Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two Interactive has revealed it has plans to release eight more remasters or ports by 2025.In Take-Two’s latest earnings report, the company detailed its upcoming launch plans up until FY2025, which includes eight “new iterations of previously released titles.” Take-Two says this includes “ports and remastered titles” and that “sequels would not fall into this category.” It seems that the absolute shambles that was the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition hasn’t deterred Take-Two from ploughing forward with more remasters. Take-Two Interactive upcoming gamesElsewhere, Take-Two has 24 “Immersive Core” games launching between now and FY25. These games are titles that have “the deepest gameplay and the most hours of content,” according to the publisher. Some of these games include The Quarry (launches June 10th), Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the delayed Kerbal Space Progam 2, as well as various sports titles such as NBA 2K23, PGA Tour 2K23, and WWE 2K23. Also on the docket are ten “Independent” titles, which are “externally developed Private Division releases,” 20 mobile games, and seven “Mid-core” titles. Take-Two defines mid-core games as “titles that are either an arcade title (like WWE Battlegrounds) or games that have many hours of gameplay, but not to the same extent as an immersive core title” and lists its new Tales from the Borderlands game, which is launching sometime in FY2023.Of course, with games getting delayed and pushed back left, right, and centre, Take-Two does mention that these plans will likely change over time. “These titles are a snapshot of our current development pipeline. It is likely that some of these titles will not be developed through completion, that launch timing may change, and that we will also be adding new titles to our slate.”What new games and remasters would you like to see from Take-Two?
