The AIRT-DRONERESPONDERS Summer 2021 Public Safety UAS Survey is now underway, exploring key issues affecting UAS programs at public safety agencies and emergency services organizations.  ” The latest non-profit research initiative to explore emergency services drone program growth, livestreaming, FAA, and other issues impacting public safety,” says the announcement.
The Airborne International Response Team (AIRT), is the leading 501(c)3 non-profit organization supporting the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for public safety and disaster response – and the official home of DRONERESPONDERS®, a group dedicated to the support and education to enable public safety drone programs.  The AIRT-DRONERESPONDERS Summer 2021 Public Safety UAS Survey is this year’s edition of the annual survey, which “has become a key tool for benchmarking the evolution of drone use by first responders and key stakeholders at all types and sizes of public safety-related organizations,” the announcement says.
If you represent a public safety organization, please take a few minutes to complete the survey – which will help support organizations provide the right tools to enable drone programs at scale.

“2021 represents the third straight year we will be collecting data on public safety drone use,” said Chief Charles Werner (ret.), Director, DRONERESPONDERS.  “This information will help UAS program leaders, managers, manufacturers, integrators, solution providers, and other partners make better-informed decisions to guide the sector forward.”
The AIRT-DRONERESPONDERS Summer 2021 Public Safety UAS Survey is open to all public safety-related drone program leaders, managers, remote pilots, and other interested partners who are actively planning or managing emergency services UAS programs.  The survey is expected to take 10 minutes or less to complete.  Survey findings will be presented in August 2021.
