Ubisoft has provided a brief update on the delayed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, announcing that Ubisoft Montréal will now lead development on the title. As announced on Twitter, development on the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been passed from Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai to “the very birthplace of the epic Sands of Time trilogy,” Ubisoft Montréal. Ubisoft says that the team at its Montréal studio will “now take the time they need to regroup on the scope of the game to deliver you the best experience for this remake of an all-time classic when it’s ready.” Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake — the story so farFollowing a couple of leaks that showed off some pretty rough-looking screenshots, The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was officially announced in September 2020 with a January 2021 release window. The game was then delayed a couple of months by Ubisoft to March 2021 and then indefinitely, with the development team saying it required more time to “deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original.” Sadly, Ubisoft has not announced a new release window for the game with its latest update, so it looks like we’ll be kept in the dark a little longer while Ubisoft Montréal takes the time “regroup on the scope of the game.”Are you excited for the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake?
