Star Wars Returns to Fortnite: Lightsabers and More Available for 2 Weeks

Fortnite is returning to the galaxy far, far away for its now-yearly Star Wars event.Kicking off the May the 4th Star Wars Day celebrations, Fortnite will be adding usable lightsabers into the game, with previously available Star Wars items unvaulted from May 3 until May 17, 2022.Additionally, you can buy any non-Battle Pass Star Wars outfit as they return to the shop. To get your hands on the blaster, look out for Stormtroopers who have set up checkpoints across the island in search of Obi-Wan. They’re also appearing randomly in chests, too.There’s also some new Stormtrooper training in the form of some new Star Wars Quests. Active until May 17 at 12am ET, you’ll confiscate a “landspeeder”, try out some Jedi contraband (a lightsaber), and more. Each quest awards a bunch of XP and completing 5 of these will give you the new Empire Banner.This year’s lightsabers include:Luke Skywalker (Green)Kylo Ren (Red)Mace Windu (Purple)Obi-Wan (Blue)If you’re a Star Wars fan who missed all the cool outfits in previous years – don’t fret. All non-Battle Pass Star Wars outfits are heading back to the shop. That includes:Imperial StormtrooperKylo RenZorii BlissFinnReySith TrooperBoba FettFennec ShandKrrsantanThat’s right – there’s a selection of cool Star Wars outfits from throughout Star Wars history – including the recent sequel trilogy and even The Book of Boba Fett.Every Fortnite Crossover OutfitUnfortunately, you won’t be able to get your hands on The Mandalorian’s sweet beskar armor… however, if you managed to get hold of it during the Chapter 2: Season 5 Battle Pass, now would be a great time to show it off.Want to read more about Fortnite?
