Sony has officially announced the next three games that will join the PlayStation Now May 2022 lineup. Given that the PlayStation Now service will be effectively rolled into the revamped PS Plus service next month in June, it is likely that these games will remain in the catalog for PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers.PlayStation Now getting three new games for May 2022As revealed by an official PlayStation blog post, the following three games will arrive May 3 on PlayStation Now: Soulcalibur VI, Blasphemous, and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.Originally launched in February 2016, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is a fighting game published by Bandai Namco that is the last installment in the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm series. This time, the story follows Naruto and Sasuke as they attempt to defeat the terrorist organization Akatsuki in the Fourth Shinobi World War. Our PS4 review for the game gave it a solid score of 8.0/10, praising its beautiful graphics, action-packed fighting, and ability to switch between characters, but criticizing its over-reliance on QTEs and heavy-handed story. Also published by Bandai Namco, Soulcalibur VI was released in October 2018 and, at the time of this writing, still remains the last installment in the franchise. It took the developer more than six years to release the game after Soulcalibur V, so it may take a few more years before we hear anything about Soulcalibur VII. Our PS4 review for the game also gave it a solid score of 8.5/10, highlighting its robust character creator and Reversal Edge mechanics.Last but not least, Blasphemous is a punishing Metroidvania action-adventure game developed by The Game Kitchen that began as a Kickstarter campaign in 2017 and officially released in September 2019. The game follows The Penitent One, bound by a vow of silence, as he fights enemies with his sword and spells across the land of Cvstodia. Blasphemous received its final DLC called Wounds of Eventide in December 2021, and with the sequel apparently coming sometime in 2023, this is a good time to play through it if you have the chance. In other news, PlayStation is hiring a director specifically for acquisitions and investments, and Square Enix will be keeping the Just Cause and Life Is Strange IPs following the Embracer Group deal.
