Here are the upcoming releases for May 2022!


From immersive survival action sims to top down dungeon crawlers, there’s a whole serving of new releases to sink your teeth into this May.

Wildcat Gun Machine

Australian developer CHUNKYBOX GAMES debuts with Wildcat Gun Machine! A top down bullet hell dungeon crawler. That has the player go up against fleshy monstrosities with an arsenal of over 40 different weapons. All to rescue poor, innocent combat mech’s who have been wrongfully imprisoned by the demonic hordes. The title promises to be a handcrafted experience, chalk full of combat puzzles and other insanity.

Wildcat Gun Machine is being published by Daedalic Entertainment and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 4.

Trek to Yomi

From studio Flying Wild Hog, comes Trek to Yomi. An action adventure set in feudal japan. The game’s heavily inspired by Akira Kurosawa movies like Seven Samurai and Yojimbo. And fixed camera angles and brutal combat ooze style. The story revolves around a young swordsman named Hiroki. Who swore to his dying master to protect his village and people on his behalf. This sets in motion the tale of the lone samurai. He must now travel beyond life and death to confront himself and decide his path forward.

The title is being published by Devolver Digital and will be released for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC on May 5.

Warhammer 40.000: Chaos Gate Daemonhunters

From Complex Games comes another video game entry for the storied Warhammer franchise. Set in the universe of Warhammer 40K, Chaos Gate Daemonhunters comes in the form of a turn-based tactical RPG. Similar to XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Players will take charge of the Grey Knights, a mysterious unit handpicked to fight back ‘The Bloom’. You’ll be able to customize and specialize every member of your unit. To grow attached to them, and inevitably lose them to a cruel twist of fate.

Published by Frontier Foundry, Warhammer 40.000 Chaos Gate Daemonhunters will release exclusively for PC on May 5.

Salt and Sacrifice

Ska Studio’s follows up their 2016 hit Salt and Sanctuary with a sequel. Bigger better and with multiplayer this time around! Salt and Sacrifice promises to elaborate on what made the original so great. A 2D Souls-Like Action RPG with Metroidvania elements and a unique artstyle. As a Marked Inquisitor, you’ll journey through the frontier. To hunt down the mages that have tarnished the realm and make their abilities your own.

The game’s being self-published and will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC on May 10.

Evil Dead: The Game

From Boss Team Games comes this adaptation of the Evil Dead franchise. And while we’ve seen squad based zombie survival games a plenty. So far non of them portrayed the madness that is Evil Dead. Take the role of Ash or other iconic characters from the franchise and go up against evil itself. But this love letter for Sam Raimi gore fest, also allows you to take on the mantle of a Kandarian Demon. So either try and bring the horror to an unfortunate end, or join the Deadite and give those pesky heroes hell.

The Game is being published by Saber and will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 13.

Deadcraft

From Marvelous Inc. comes Deadcraft. A flashy zombie survival action sim. That askes you to brave through the wasteland as Reid. After the apocalypse, the half zombie must not seize the means of survival by any means necessary. For this you have access to a broad arsenal of weapons and wacky crafts. And you can make use of your half dead state, to unleash devastating attacks. But why stop there? Why fear the undead hordes when you can use them to your advantage? You can, in fact grow your own zombie army to make life easier.

Deadcraft is being published by XSEEED Games. And releases on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Switch and PC on May 19.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong

This entry into the World of Darkness franchise comes from studio Big Bad Wolf. And promises to be a deep RPG build around three playable characters. Those familiar with titles like Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines will be right at home with this one. The story revolves around the vampire sect of Boston. The Masquerade is in grave danger. You are now tasked to insure that human’s won’t find out about your existence. The game will mostly focus on investigation and roleplay elements, with some action heavy sequences in-between.

Published by Nacon, the title will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and PC on May 19.

DOLMEN

Coming to us from Massive Work Studio, DOLMEN sees the player retrieve samples of the name giving crystals from a hostile alien world. Pick from either ranged or melee weapons to vanquish your foes. And master a dynamic, sci-fi action RPG. Brave the lovecraftian horrors on Revion Prime and unveil its secrets. Or fall into despair to never be heard from again.

DOLMEN is being published by Prime Matter. And will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and PC on May 20.

Sniper Elite 5

Sniper Elite returns with its 5th instalment, courtesy of developer Rebellion. Once again you’ll find yourself behind enemy lines, picking out target’s from a distance. Set in 1944, you are tasked with disrupting a Nazi operation in France that could turn the tide of the war. You’ll have access to a variety of tools, expansive maps to explore and conquer. But you are not alone either. Join up with other’s to take on the Nazi threat together. Or invade another players campaign and take them out!

Published by Rebellion themselves, Sniper Elite 5 releases May 26. For PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and PC.

 PAC-MAN MUSEUM+

Hard to believe that Pac-Man’s already over 40 years old. In celebration of the franchises history, Pac-Man Museum+ releases with 14 games from the hungry yellow dot’s past. With dearly beloved arcade classics, up to console ports of the popular mobile instalments.

Published and developed by Bandai Namco Games, Pac-Man Museum+ will release May 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
