Modern Warfare 2 returns as the sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, as Call of Duty 2022 gets a name and logo.
The Call of Duty community has been struggling so far since the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard in 2021. Many fans and players have had complaints about the game, and even the new Warzone map isn’t scratching that COD itch. Well, today, Call of Duty 2022 has revealed the name and logo for its 2022 iteration.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Infinity Ward is back again with their newest Call of Duty game, this time creating a sequel to their 2019 Modern Warfare, with Modern Warfare 2. The new logo shifts from the pale blue of Modern Warfare, to a new vibrant green for MW2, similar to the original Modern Warfare 2 game.

The community reacted to this announcement with massive amounts of hype, with the Call of Duty announcement tweet reaching more likes than Vanguard’s announcement in just over an hour.
The announcement featured a couple of teasers, revealing the return of Task Force 141, and some coordinates pointing to a location in Singapore. While we’re not sure how much this means for the setting or story of Modern Warfare 2, we can expect another incredibly in-depth story that we received in Modern Warfare.
