Mothmen 1996, a visual novel about the “strange occurrences” of the Leonid meteor shower of 1966, will launch for Xbox on July 14th, as confirmed with a new trailer.We’ve got a new trailer confirming the release date for Mothmen 1966, a visual novel inspired both by pulp fiction and the home computer graphics of the 80s, featuring the “choose your own adventure” type of gameplay. Check it out below:Mothmen 1966 trailerMothmen 1966 is set at the time of the Leonid meteor shower in November 1966. “A young couple, a gas station owner, and a paranormal investigator get caught up in a terrifying conspiracy taking place at the edge of their reality, where nightmare creatures lurk, and the mysterious men in black lie in wait,” we’re told. Mothmen 1966 is set to be the first of a series called Pixel Pulps, which will be a “fusion of exceptional writing and stunning illustration,” with the first volume containing Mothmen 1966, Varney Lake, and Bahnsen Knights.
