Disney Dreamlight Valley will launch in 2023 as a free-to-play life-sim adventure game — but Xbox Game Pass members can play an Early Access version this summer.Disney Dreamlight Valley has just been announced as a hybrid life-sim free-to-play adventure game featuring a host of Disney and Pixar characters, in which you seek to restore a world overturned by an ominous event known as The Forgetting. What is Disney Dreamlight Valley? “Disney Dreamlight Valley is an upcoming free-to-play, life-simulation adventure game that puts you at the centre of a journey to restore a once-idyllic village now desolate and full of night thorns after a mysterious event called The Forgetting,” we’re told. “You’ll need to build relationships with a cast of Disney and Pixar heroes and villains to uncover their lost memories and solve the mysteries of the Valley; all while making your mark on the land by customizing your dream village and bringing out your Disney style or Pixar adoration with your avatar.”In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the inhabitants of the Valley have hidden in the Dream Castle after The Forgetting. While aiding them and rebuilding the village, we’ll be doing everything from fishing to cooking, as well as gardening and designing everything from your outfits to your home. We start off with a quest from Merlin. “While you won’t be pulling swords from stones, you will need to be equipped for the challenges ahead. Fortunately, the Valley is full of materials! You may even need to help a certain grumpy shopkeeper who would be happy to part with resources for your adventures.” We’ll then head to locations like the Frosted Heights and the Peaceful Meadow.According to the Disney Dreamlight Valley site, the free-to-play game launches in 2023. However, if you purchase the Founder’s Pack or have an Xbox Game Pass membership, you’ll be able to try the Early Access this summer. What do you think of Disney Dreamlight Valley?
