Skydance New Media and Lucasfilm Games Teaming Up for New Star Wars Project

Skydance New Media will collaborate with Lucasfilm Games to produce and develop a richly cinematic action-adventure game that will feature an original story in the Star Wars universe.

According to Skydance New Media President Amy Hennig:

“I’ve often described how seeing Star Wars in 1977 essentially rewired my 12-year-old brain, shaping my creative life and future indelibly,” said Hennig, President,. “I’m elated to be working with Lucasfilm Games again to tell interactive stories in this galaxy that I love.”Amy Hennig

Players will be able to salvage spaceships in Fireline Games’ upcoming co-op game Fueled Up.

In a rather rare occurrence in today’s gaming industry, Nintendo today announced that the upcoming release of the Nintendo Switch, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, has been changed. It was previously announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 would release in September of this year but that date has now moved, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will release on July 29th.

Stardock recently announced the final release date for the upcoming addition to the award-winning 4X strategy sandbox franchise, Galactic Civilizations IV. The new title in the Galactic Civilizations series looks to bring exciting new features to the 4X table including multi-sector maps, great civilization customization via policies, internal factions, and a brand new quest and unique mission system.
