Manchester City appear one step closer to winning the sweepstakes of landing superstar striker Erling Haaland.
Manchester City may be focused on trying to win its fourth English Premier League title in the past five years, but they’ve also got their eyes on the summer transfer window too. With that, Erling Haaland has emerged as the club’s No. 1 target and big news has arrived: Haaland is ready for a move to the EPL.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the two sides have been in talks and things have progressed enough that personal terms have been agreed to. There’s still plenty of work to be done, but all signs are pointing to Haaland suiting up for MCFC come next season.

Haaland has been linked with a move to City for quite some time and he hasn’t shied away from his admiration for Pep Guardiola. While Borussia Dortmund was hoping to keep him long-term, this just wasn’t in the cards.
The striker wants to play at the highest level and play for major trophies. He’ll be given this chance at Manchester City if things indeed get finalized. On top of being in the EPL title hunt this spring, City is also considered the favorite to win the Champions League.
Man City made it to the final last season but suffered a 1-0 loss to Chelsea. Now, MCFC is hoping to wipe away those bad memories with a championship triumph this time around. Come next season, their odds of winning the EPL and Champions League will of course go up in a big way if Haaland joins the party. This will be something to keep an eye on.
