Season One: Festival of Ages has kicked off for Age of Empires IV, with the content editor (beta), the upcoming arrival of seasons, and more.You’ll have more content still as you chase those Age of Empires IV achievements, including the content editor (beta). “The Age of Empires IV Content Editor (Beta) will be your one-stop shop for custom play,” the devs say. “Want to create your own highly specialized map? Want to play with a French Knight that’s overpowered to the nth degree? With this tool at your fingertips, you get the complete say on how to play.”Although the Age of Empires team has announced that Season One: Festival of Ages is live now, it seems you’ll be able to take part in seasonal content like Ranked Seasons, Seasonal Events, and login rewards with Ranked Season One between 10am PT on April 13th and 10am PT on June 30th. Event One will take place between April 13th and the 27th, with Event Two taking place between May 4th and the 18th, Event Three between May 26th and June 8th, and Event Four between June 15th and the 29th. “That’s not all — there’s also two additions to the Age of Empires IV line-up including a brand-new Advanced Combat Art of War challenge, aimed at preparing you for more complex combat scenarios, as well as the new MegaRandom map,” the devs add. Season One’s update also brings with it quality-of-life changes and balance changes, which you can check out in full over in the patch notes.
