Not all games have to be about interacting with the world by shooting or stabbing at it. There are games out there that focus on other things, ideas that we could use a good deal more of in the world right now.
So we figured it was a good idea to have a look at the best peaceful games on the Play Store. These are games that will make you think, and hopefully add a bit more joy into your life.

A detective story that’s all about piecing together fragments of shattered memory. It looks wonderful, and every step along the path sees you working your way closer to a heartbreaking truth.

A beautifully animated tale that takes you through gorgeous backdrops on an emotional and affecting journey. You’re manipulating the ground beneath your feet to solve simple, pressure-less puzzles.
This one is about cutting off the branches of a tree to help it grow. Well, it’s actually about a lot more than that, but we’ll let you discover that for yourself. It’s a free-form puzzler that’s understated and poignant.
Both Monument Valley games could have made their way onto this list, but we decided to just stick with the original. It’s a thought-provoking puzzler about manipulating worlds and making connections. If you haven’t played it yet, please rectify that as soon as possible.
